August 6th, America's Shadow Show with John Perkins and Jarek Kupsc

Monday, August 6th, 2007 America's Shadow Show with - John Perkins and Jarek Kupsc

Listen 7:00- 8:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guest in the first hour- John Perkins, author of Confessions of an Economic Hit Man.

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guest in the second hour- Jarek Kupsc the director of The Reflecting Pool.

John Perkins, is the author of many books, including -
as well as Confessions of an Economic Hitman and most recently, The Secret History of the American Empire- Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and the Truth About Global Corruption.

John spent three decades as an Economic Hit Man, business executive, author, and lecturer. He lived and worked in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and North America. Then he made a decision: he would use these experiences to make the planet a better place for his daughter’s generation. Today he teaches about the importance of rising to higher levels of consciousness, to waking up -- in both spiritual and physical realms -- and is a champion for environmental and social causes. He has lectured at universities on four continents, including Harvard, Wharton, and Princeton.

Carol met him over a decade ago, when he was very active with the Dream Change Coalition, sharing indigenous wisdom and insights with Americans, in hopes of changing "the American Dream" and preventing the destruction of indigenous cultures and the rainforests. At that time he was leading workshops on "Shape-Shifting" and taking people on "Shamanic, transformative journeys" to South America. He has led an extraordinary life.

In the second hour, our guest is Jarek Kupsc, the director of The Reflecting Pool one of the first feature 9/11 Truth Films.

"The Reflecting Pool" follows an investigation by a Russian-American journalist and the father of a 9/11 victim into many of the suppressed facts and anomalies surrounding the 9/11 tragedy. Jarek wrote, directed, and plays the journalist, Alex Prokop in the film.

The story revolves around Prokop, a successful journalist, who receives a 9/11 videotape and is assigned to look into the story by his boss, a magazine publisher. He is joined in his investigation by the man who sent him the videotape, Paul Cooper, whose daughter died in the attacks. Together, they uncover suppressed information that never appeared in the official report, newspaper headlines or the evening news. They visit New York and DC, interview a range of investigators, government officials, witnesses. They investigate the inexplicable collapse of WTC Building 7, the implausible airliner "attack" on the Pentagon, the destruction of physical evidence from Ground Zero.

The journalist is plagued by memories of his Communist childhood and tries to pull together a story backed by irrefutable facts that can't be torn and shredded by the gears of the American press. It presents the challenge of casting light upon State secrets that threaten powerful institutions.

Born in Warsaw, Poland, Jarek has been involved in independent film production since 1983. He studied art and history in his native Warsaw, Poland, learned Byzantine Icon painting techniques in Greece, and received his BA in Film Writing/Directing from San Francisco State University. He authored and illustrated "The History of Cinema for Beginners," a comic film history textbook in 1980.

As a writer/director/producer, Jarek completed numerous short films, including the Rosebud Award-winning "Dog." He debuted in 2001 with "Recoil" in the feature film category, following with "Slumberland" in 2005 (Winner of Special Jury Prize, 2006 Gdynia Film Festival, Poland; First Prize, 2007 Oskariada FF, Poland; Best Screenwriter, 2007 Young Film Festival, Poland. "The Reflecting Pool" is his latest project.

(There will be two special preview screening of The Reflecting Pool at the 9/11 Truth Film Festival Monday and Tuesday, September 10th and 11th, 2007, a Benefit for the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance, at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland.)

We will discuss American Imperialsim, black ops, propaganda, and the difficulties and rewards of speaking out on taboo truths- the shadow side of the American government.

July 30, 2007 Change Show with Tom Atlee and Peggy Holman

Monday, July 30th Change Show with - Tom Atlee and Peggy Holman

Listen 7:00- 8:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests in the first hour- Tom Atlee and Peggy Holman

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guest in the second hour- Peggy Holman.

Tom Atlee, is the author of the Tao of Democracy, and Founder of the Co-Intelligence Institute. Peggy Holman is a co-author of The Change Handbook.

Tom Atlee, founder of the non-profit Co-Intelligence Institute, has written and spoken for twenty years on politics, democracy and cultural transformation. His two resource packed websites -

co-intelligence.org and democracy innovations.org - are used by thousands of people every month, and a thousand of them subscribe to his email newsletter.

Raised in a Quaker activist family, Tom has been exploring social issues and personal and social transformation since an early age. His participation in the nine-month cross-country Great Peace March of 1986 marked a watershed in his life. He has served on the boards of the Berkeley Ecology Center and the Center for Group Learning. In 1991 he was invited to Belize and to Czechoslovakia (with his life partner, Karen Mercer) to consult on green social change and community-building.

Peggy Holman is a founder of The Open Circle Company. She is acknowledged as a leader in generative processes for whole system change. Open Space Technology, Appreciative Inquiry and Dialogue are integral to her work because she believes in their great promise to unleash the human spirit for individual and collective good. One of the projects that was born out of Appreciative Inquiry was- Journalism That Matters

Peggy and Tom are organizing The Story Field Conference in August a pioneering interdisciplinary gathering of storytellers, artists and experts who believe in the power of storytelling and who believe that changing the stories of the defining culture is a key to the social transformation of humanity now at hand.

In the invitation to the conference, there is a quote from David Korten (author of When Corporations Rule the World and The Great Turning, who will also be coming to the conference):

The human species is on the verge of self-annihilation, and we are meeting to talk about stories. Far from being frivolous and irrelevant as some might assume, this gathering is at the cutting edge of serious change. The power to shape the stories that frame a culture is a power that ultimately trumps the coercive powers of the state and the financial power of concentrated wealth. Indeed, it is the only power that potentially trumps the power of the dysfunctional, but seemingly invulnerable institutions that currently set the human course. The three questions that will frame our discourse at Shambhala Mountain Center [see below] are among the most important questions of our time, because the work of changing the story field of modern culture has become an imperative.

For more than two decades, my work has centered on changing the economic stories that shape economic policy and practice. I did not fully understand the deeper implications of the story change work, however, until my longtime Filipino friend and colleague Nicky Perlas visited me on Bainbridge Island in 1999. An important figure in Philippine civil society and a student of Rudolph Steiner's theories, Nicky pointed out that in a contest between coercive power, financial power, and cultural power, the ultimate advantage resides in cultural power - call it story power - which is the power to shape the values and worldview of the society.

Nicky helped me see the truth that those elements of civil society which are committed to liberating humanity from institutions of domination have a natural advantage in the domain of culture. To maintain control, the institutions of domination must justify themselves with falsified values of fabricated stories that contradict reality. By contrast, those of us devoted to the cause of justice, compassion, and sustainability need only encourage people to recognize, accept, and act on what they know in their hearts to be true.

What is the new narrative that is already calling us?

What stories -- both ancient and emerging -- are so powerful that they draw us to hope, to care, and to engage?

How can stories and the ways we tell them shift society into greater aliveness and wisdom?

Tom Atlee was a colleague and mentor of Carol Brouillet in the 90's when they both founded (with others) the Who's Counting? Project, an alternative to corporate globalization. Tom facilitated, and inspired new processes, circles, open space, dialogue which Carol has brought to her activism and organizing.

This show examines Change, the processes that we use, individually, in a group, collectively, and culturally to transform ourselves and a pathological system. This show is about learning from one another and nurturing our collective wisdom.

July 16, 2007 9/11 Truth Show with Blaine Machan, John Parulis, and Paul Cross

Next Show 7/16/07 - 9/11 Truth Show with Blaine Machan and Paul Cross

Listen 7:00- 8:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guest in the first hour Blaine Machan, Deception Dollar artist, currently working on Issue #10 and open to ideas and suggestions from activists.John Parulis joins us to give an update on the TruthBurn Art Project.

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to our guest in the second hour Paul Cross, producer of Severe Visibility reporting on the Italian premiere of his film and the European view of the events of September 11th, 2001.

Blaine Machan is a very talented artist who was one of the first to realize that "9/11 was an inside job." He and others brought Michael Ruppert to Calgary in 2002 to speak about "The Truth and Lies about 9/11." Blaine did many graphics for the event, including a couple of "Deception Dollars" and he also worked on a series of satirical movie posters on a 9/11 Truth theme. In the Fall of 2002, he contacted me and I was very impressed with his artwork. His mom thought he shouldn't "waste his time on political art," but should get a real job. I encouraged him to continue with the political art and suggested that he design a back for the Deception Dollar, so that we could pass them out at anti-war rallies. Blaine figured out how to add key websites to the bills. He also created the Deception Dollar Website and we have worked collaboratively since then to produce and distribute over 6,500,000 Deception Dollars, multiple 9/11 Truth events- including the premiere of Aftermath-Unanswered Questions from 9/11, Behind Every Terrorist-There is a Bush, the San Francisco and Toronto International Inquiries into 9/11. Blaine has also done artwork for innumerable issues of Global Outlook Magazine and 9/11 Truth books including Barrie Zwicker's award winning Towers of Deception (which has a cameo profile about Blaine).

John Parulis in an effort to draw greater visibility to the 9/11 truth Movement came up with the idea of TruthBurn. He is working with Richard Gage, Steven Jones, Kevin Ryan, and others to design not just an art project for Burning Man, but an experiment which shows how thermite cuts steel and what sort of signature it leaves behind in its wake, to draw attention to the anomalies and evidence ignored in the official explanation of the destruction of the World Trade Center.

He is also a film maker and worked on and off for GreenPeace as a cameraman on board the Rainbow Warrior.

Please post ideas, suggestions here for issue #10 or email them directly to cbrouillet@igc.org.

If you can support the TruthBurn Art Project, please send needed donations.

Second Hour- 8-9 pm
Paul Cross produced the feature film Severe Visibility.

The synopsis of the film:
The film centers around a major in the US. military who was in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 and ideally situated to observe the attack. However, he did not see a Boeing 757 strike the Pentagon and the film is about his obsession with the question "How could he have not seen Flight 77?" His dicovery reveals a devastating reality that he is forced to confront. His quest for truth sets him on a collision course with history, forcing him to confront the demons of his past, and the awesome burden that the pursuit for truth reveals.

Paul Cross was inspired to make the film, by a twist of fate which had him filming the White House on September 11, 2001 and visiting the Pentagon on September 12, 2001. He directed, wrote, produced, and stars in Severe Visibility.

He began his career in the entertainment industry in summer stock and an off Broadway revival of Redhead. He then garnered starring roles in Sygzy, Wish It Were Spring, Amazons, Studs Lonigan and Rituals. He then wrote and starred in Ice Pawn which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in 1992. He recently appeared in the musicals 1776 and Spoon River. For the past two years he has written and produced two award winning documentaries- West End Story- An Anatomy of Musical Theater and Follow the Leader filmed at the White House with George W. Bush, and winner of the Atlantic City Film Festival for Best Documentary.

He has gone through a dramatic personal transformation since 9/11. His film Follow the Leader glorified the office of the Presidency. Now he feels that the gravest threat to the country is emanating from the Oval Office.

We'll be discussing how to wake up and mobilize the American people to prevent an escalation of "The War on Terrorism" (The War on Us).
