June 30, 2008 - Movement Building Show with William Lewis, Larry Pinkney, John Ennis, and Marnie Glickman

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests- William Lewis and Larry Pinkney.

Listen 9:00- 10:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests- John Ennis and Marnie Glickman

William Lewis lives in Columbia, Missouri, he is a writer, civil rights advocate, and award winning independent filmmaker specializing in producing patriotic-style documentaries that expose governmental abuse of power and focus viewers on a wide range of grassroots solutions.

Mr. Lewis has written and directed five documentaries to date; “911 In Plane Site,” the award winning “Beyond Treason,” “One Nation Under Siege,” “911 Ripple Effect," and most recently, ”Washington, You're Fired!" (2008).

His quest for bringing these important issues into the American mainstream prompted William to found Take Back Washington, a website and a political mindset to peacefully, and through education, bring the politics of Washington D.C. back into focus with our country’s founding documents.

Larry Pinkney is a veteran of the Black Panther Party, a former political prisoner and the only American to have successfully self-authored his civil/political rights case to the United Nations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. For more about Larry Pinkney see the book, Saying No to Power: Autobiography of a 20th Century Activist and Thinker by William Mandel [Introduction by Howard Zinn]. Larry wrote an excellent article entitled- Barack Obama and the Euphoria of Madness recently on the Black Commentator website, he is on its editorial board.

Larry has compared Obama with the candidate skewered by the Democratic Party and the Media who has consistently spoken up on behalf of truth and people- Cynthia McKinney. Why was he a political prisoner? The following excerpt from his FBI file, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, speaks for itself:

"Pinkney is potentially dangerous due to his demonstrated ability to unify black and white. His associates are Negro, White, and Chinese. Special attention is being given to neutralizing him. The areas of sex and drugs appear to be the most effective ones to utilize. His habits in these areas are unknown, but are being monitored with this objective. The FBI is working in conjunction with [blacked out, but a covering note to the U.S. Secret Service, San Francisco, accompanies this]."

Effective organizers, coalitions that cross traditional boundaries are what is needed in these times.

John Ennis is the director of the film [See trailer at: Free for All! One Dude's Quest to Save Democracy]. Free For All will be posted in its entirety online on the 4th of July, and is really a very critical look at our electoral system and a rallying cry for citizen participation to save this country from having our country stolen from under our very noses. (Actually, he hints that the 2008 election has already been stolen, but that it is up to us- to steal it back...)

John has given a few sneak previews of his film- in LA, NYC, and at the Nat'l Conference on Media Reform, where I saw it, and met him, and Holly Mosher, Executive Producer. The film was entertaining, but included some of the most knowledgable, informative interviews with those best informed researchers who have been blowing the whistle on the stolen elections.

John "the dude" trying to save democracy does have a gift for making films- He attended the USC and NYU Film Schools. His production company Shoot First Inc. specializes in non-fiction entertainment.

His feature directorial debut was an improvised comedy, Wild Girls Gone, written by and starring the Upright Citizens Brigade (Amy Poehler, Matt Walsh, Ian Roberts, and Matt Besser). In Documentary, Ennis has dealt with pharmaceutical companies’ impropriety (the award-winning Money Talks: Profits Before Patient Safety), and has been a long-time documentarian of the sport of competitive eating (Major League Eaters; Red, White, & Yellow) He co-DP’ed A/K/A Tommy Chong, chronicling the comedian’s federal prosecution, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.

Ennis has produced and developed Reality TV for FremantleMedia, Rocket Science, RDF Media, and Nash Entertainment, and his work has been seen on NBC, FOX, CBS, ABC, TLC, BBC, even Oprah.

Ennis’s New York City cable access show Toolz of the New School was a cult hit in the late 1990’s. A combination of sketch and stunt comedy blended with political documentary and live Hip Hop, the show won awards, and screened in art galleries around the world.

Ennis has produced tons of music documentary, with many of today’s biggest artists, such as Weezer, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Fergie, John Mayer, Jane’s Addiction, Ne-Yo, Sarah McLaughlin, Jack Johnson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Audioslave, and many more. (visit shootfirstinc.com/ to see clips) Ennis also teaches documentary filmmaking at UCLA Extension.

Marnie Glickman is the Executive Director of GreenChange.org is an experienced Green organizer. She is also an attorney. She worked for Commercial Alert, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting communities from commercialism from 2003 to 2007. In 2003-4, she served as the co-chair of the Green Party of the United States. Marnie has worked on the campaigns of Joe Keating for Governor (OR, 2006), Cobb-LaMarche presidential campaign (2004), Ralph Nader for President (2000), Carl Mayer for Congress (NJ, 2000), Nita Lowey for Congress (NY, 1998), Tom Bruggere for US Senate (OR, 1996), Darlene Hooley for Congress (OR, 1997), Nancy Kaszak for Congress (IL, 1995-6), Eliabeth Furse for Congress (OR, 1994-5), Clinton-Gore (1992) and Tom Harkin for President (1992). In 1998, she was the deputy director for major gifts and a trainer at EMILY's List. Her first job in politics was working for Senator Paul Wellstone (DC and MN, 1991). Marnie lives in Fairfax, California with her husband, Gary Ruskin, and two year old daughter, Calliope.

Green Change strives to be a community of people with Green values: justice, democracy, sustainability and non-violence who work together to share Green art, politics and culture. People within the community have many different skills and talents. Some can write, or draw, or paint. Others take photographs, register voters, or do street theater. They encourage people to use their talents to make the world a better place. Anyone with Green values is welcome to join.

Green Change provides tools for sharing and expressing Green knowledge and inspiration. They help Green writers, musicians and artists spread the word about their work. They help people come together to take Green political action. They provide information and articles for people who want to learn more about what it is to be Green, live Green and act Green. The website says:

"We make it easier to meet others like you, so that together you can build new Green communities, and help one another.

"We believe there is power in working together. We have built the Green Change website to help people to create together, to solve problems, and to build a culture based on Green values.

"We believe there are a million ways (or more) to advance Green art and causes. This website is intended to help you and your friends let a thousand flowers bloom."

Movement Building isn't only about bringing down oppressive systems, it is about creating better alternatives. All social movements help bring other movements along. When the Truth, Peace, Justice, Impeachment Movements fuse they will be unstoppable. For an overview on how Social Movements work and the 9/11 Truth Movement in particular see my plenary presentation from the Revealing the Truth: Reclaiming the Future Conference on Strategy for the 9/11 (and social) Movement

June 23, 2008- 5-11 Campaign Against Real I.D. Show with Katherine Albrecht, Rep. James Guest, Sheila Dean

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests- Katherine Albrecht and Jim Guest.

Listen 9:00- 10:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guest- Sheila Dean

Katherine Albrecht, of CASPIAN (Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering), is the co-author of Spychips: How Major Corporations Plan to Track your Every Move with RFID. In a nod to the book's focus on freedom, Spychips was awarded the prestigious Lysander Spooner Award for Advancing the Literature of Liberty and named "the best book on liberty" for 2005. (She is also a Radio Host on WTPRN.

Katherine graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Marketing. She holds a Doctorate in Education from Harvard University with a research focus in consumer education, privacy and psychology.

James Guest is a Missouri State Representative (elected in 2002) and formed the coalition Legislators Against Real ID which includes lawmakers from 34 states to file bills that oppose or protest Real ID. About a dozen states have active legislation against Real ID, including Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming.

Rep. James Guest stated:

"This is almost a frontal assault on the freedoms of America when they require us to carry a national ID to monitor where we are. That's going too far."

Sheila Deanis the blog Editor for BeatTheChip.org and Campaign manager for the 5-11 Campaign: Texans Against Real ID's . Sheila has been involved with media activism for World Can't Wait, The Los Angeles National Impeachment Center, Dennis Kucinich, Author Michael Weinstein, David Swanson, Ron Paul, and Focus The Nation, a national green teach-in event for Santa Monica College and UCLA. She writes-

Since May 11th, 2008, states nationwide are grappling with Real IDs - a Congressional mandate for a nationalized ID card with potential to end identity security and privacy as we know it by late 2009. Those favoring the passage of The Real ID Act of 2005 have heralded it's amenity for both post-911 securities and an answer to documenting immigrants. Those who oppose it know the expensive federalized database technologies approved by the Department of Homeland Security to be grossly insecure while balking at the pan-American aspects of the IDs to cross Canadian and Mexican borders. Supreme Court lawsuits are stacking up from Texans suffering from the waiver of 36 federal laws based on the Act's call for a Mexican border wall fence. The mandated demands on state funding to use intrusive machine readable technologies top the list of complaints for those who seek to stop The Real ID Act of 2005.

(Part II of a Two Part Series on Denial, Part I was on Overcoming Individual Denial)

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests- Peter Phillips and Neil Slade

Listen 9:00- 10:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our other guests (who spoke on Individual Denial in Part I)- Chuck Millar and Ken Jenkins

Peter Phillips is a professor of Sociology at Sonoma State University and director of Project Censored Project Censored is a media research program working in cooperation with numerous independent media groups in the US. Project Censored’s principle objective is training of SSU students in media research and First Amendment issues and the advocacy for, and protection of, free press rights in the United States. Project Censored has trained over 1,500 students in investigative research in the past three decades.

Through a partnership of faculty, students, and the community, Project Censored conducts research on important national news stories that are underreported, ignored, misrepresented, or censored by the US corporate media. Each year, Project Censored publishes a ranking of the top 25 most censored nationally important news stories in the yearbook, Censored: Media Democracy in Action, which is released in September.

Peter Phillips is co-editor with Dennis Loo of the book, Impeach the President: The Case Against Bush and Cheney. He contributed a chapter entitledThe Global Dominance Group: 9/11 Pre-Warnings & Election Irregularities in Context to the book 9/11 and American Empire (Volume I) Intellectuals Speak Out. He has also helped to organize conferences around media accountability, and the most censored issues that threaten democracy and the world (Publicizing Truth with Consequence). At the Memphis National Media Reform Conference in January 2007, he spoke on the subject of the Independent media's poor coverage of stolen elections, impeachment, and 9/11 truth. This year his suggestions for panels and workshops were turned down and there were no speakers in the formal plenaries or workshops speaking about 9/11 truth (Although there was a well attended poster session where Peter did have a chance to speak.) He has much firsthand experience in breaking important issues into the mainstream and independent media.

Neil Slade is a musical composer, seasoned concert performer, author, and artist. He also has a very interesting website on 9/11- www.911Think.com and produced the film Captain Sherlock Solves 9/11. He attended Metropolitan State College, the University of Colorado, and the University of Denver, and graduated Magna cum laude in 1978. Certified by the State of Colorado to teach grades Kindergarten through 12, he has taught for 30 years (starting before graduation) privately and in the public school system. Beyond his classroom instruction, he has taught an estimated 25,000 individual music and art lessons to students ages 6 through 66.

Slade was assistant to Brain and Behavior Researcher T.D.A. Lingo, Ph.B., B.Sci. M.A., for 11 years at Colorado's Dormant Brain Research and Development Laboratory, established by director Lingo in 1957.

For several years, Slade was employed full time to create and present therapeutic creativity, music, and art workshops at many of Colorado's major psychiatric and medical treatment centers. This included West Pines Psychiatric Hospital, Ft. Logan Mental Health Center, Denver General Psychiatric Ward, Mt. Airy Psychiatric Hospital, Children's Hospital of Denver, Denver Head Injury Clinic, as well as many public and private facilities.

In an unprecedented original "Mind Music" program, Slade was employed by the principal of a Denver Public Elementary School to teach all 600 students and their teachers how to self-activate advanced levels of creativity, intelligence, and cooperative trust behavior by learning "brain basics". The program ended with teachers singing to their students and students dancing in the classroom.

Neil has recorded and released 9 albums of original pop/jazz/classical/avant garde music, and has written and published five printed books and three audio CD books on learning, creativity, and the brain, along with one of book of romantic poetry.

His books "The Frontal Lobes Supercharge" and "Have Fun are easy to use do-it-yourself manuals for turning on untapped areas of each and every persons' brain- "the other 90%". His revolutionary lessons let any person access pre-existing circuits for creativity, intelligence, and pleasure with methods and exercises proven under scientific investigation, as well as real world daily applications. "Have Fun" is a unique set of 35 "anti-rules" which reject common mis-perceptions and neutralizes common obstacles of doing and learning.

He has written about the psychology of 9/11 perception suggesting approaches which would move people towards a higher, creative, problem solving level of conscousness, simply by equating- "Truth = Justice = Freedom." His main website is http://www.neilslade.com/.

Additional resources on this topic have come to my attention- including Psychorelativity and mindfulness by Kevin Ryan, Faulty Towers of Belief: (Part I) Demolishing the Iconic Psychological Barriers to 9/11 Truth and Faulty Towers of Belief: (Part II) Rebuilding the Road to the Freedom of Reason (Both papers by Laurie Manwell were published in the Journal of 9/11 Studies.

June 9, 2008 - Overcoming Individual Denial to 9/11 Truth Show with Carol Wolman, Ken Jenkins, Chuck Millar and Ralph Metzner

(Part I of a Two Part Series on Denial, Part II will be on Overcoming Collective Denial)

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests- Carol Wolman, MD and Ken Jenkins

Listen 9:00- 10:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests- Chuck Millar and Ralph Metzner

Carol Wolman, MD is a psychiatrist in Northern California. She wrote Why the Resistance to 9/11 Truth?. A lifelong peace activist, she has written extensively on the psychology of our times. She was a founder of Bay Area Impeach Bush-Cheney. She ran for Congress in '06, and is now a Green candidate for Congress in CA District 1. She is a coordinator of The New Broom Coalition, for a clean sweep of Congress. She has practiced psychiatry for many years, and penned many excellent articles including- Is the President Nuts?.

Pioneering 9/11 activist and video producer Ken Jenkins has a degree in electrical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, and has done extensive postgraduate study in psychology. He has worked as a video professional for over 30 years, including 7 years at Hewlett-Packard in their state-of-the-art broadcast video facility HPTV.

Ken awoke to 9/11 truth by November of 2001 and started presenting his PowerPoint and video productions on 9/11 truth in early 2002. He has since spoken at four international 9/11 conferences on the Psychological Aspects of 9/11 and participated in numerous other 9/11 events and radio programs. His first video release,“Perspective on 9/11” was originally made for the early live presentations. He has since produced dozens of 9/11 DVDs, including eight with leading 9/11 Truth author David Ray Griffin, including his best-“9/11 – The Myth and the Reality” and his latest- 9/11 and Nationalist Faith: How Faith Can Be Illuminating or Blinding.

He is also a partner in 911tv.org, which has documented speakers from many 9/11 conferences and events. The resulting DVDs, as well as those produced by others, are distributed in part through cable access channels nationwide. Ken also designed the popular 11 Remarkable Facts About 9/11 card. By revealing the “false flag” nature of the 9/11 attacks, it is Ken’s intention to not only help end the current bogus “war on terror” but to also help open the way to ending war as a political option on this planet.

Chuck Millar received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and has been in private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1987. He has been a 9/11 Truth activist since 2003, attending numerous demonstrations and engaging in conversations with people in denial about what happened on 9/11. Chuck is also a free-lance technical editor and has edited many press releases and promotional documents for the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance (and has helped mediate conflicts which have arisen within the group).

At the last moment, the format of the show was changed. Ralph Metzner who was scheduled to be on June 16th won't be available on the 16th, so we tried to include him in the last half hour- instead of a larger discussion. Due to technical difficulties, he was only with us for the last fifteen minutes.

Ralph Metzner, Ph.D. who has a B.A. in philosophy and psychology from Oxford University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Harvard University, has been involved in the study of transformations of consciousness ever since, as a graduate student, he worked with Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert (later Ram Dass) on the Harvard Psilocybin Projects. He co-wrote The Psychedelic Experience, and was editor of The Psychedelic Review. During the 1970s, Ralph spent 10 years in the intensive study and practice of Agni Yoga, a meditative system of working with light-fire life-energies. He wrote Maps of Consciousness, one of the earliest attempts at a comparative cartography of consciousness; and Know Your Type, a comparative survey of personality typologies, ancient and modern. He was the Academic Dean for ten years, during the 1980s, at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where he taught courses there on “Altered States of Consciousness” and “Developing Ecological Consciousness.” He is now Professor Emeritus. He maintains a part-time psychotherapy practice, and conducts numerous workshops on consciousness transformation, both nationally and internationally. His books include The Well of Remembrance, The Unfolding Self, Green Psychology, two edited collections on the science and the phenomenology of Ayahuasca and Teonanácatl and The Expansion of Consciousness. He is the founder of the Green Earth Foundation.

(June 16th- Part II will be on Overcoming Collective Denial to 9/11 Truth with sociologist Peter Phillips, director of Project Censored,
film maker and author Neil Slade.)
