October 22, 2007- Unmasking State Sponsored Terrorism Show with Barrie Zwicker, Kevin Barrett, Sherry Clark and John Leonard

Listen 7:00- 8:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guest in the first hour- Barrie Zwicker.

Listen 8:00- 9:00 pm (PST) to the WeThePeopleRadioNetwork.com and to our guests in the second hour- Kevin Barrett, Sherry Clark and John Leonard.

Barrie Zwicker is the author of Towers of Deception- The Media Cover-Up of 9/11, winner of the Independent Publisher 2007 Gold Medal Award in the Current Events category. Barrie Zwicker is an independent documentary producer, writer, and political activist. He is the first mainstream television journalist in the world to deeply question the official 9/11 story. He became a director of the International Citizens' Inquiry Into 9/11, Phase 2, at the University of Toronto in May of 2004. He produced The Great Deception, which aired on Canadian television in early 2002. He also produced The Great Conspiracy- The 9/11 News Special You Never Saw (which is also included in the book Towers of Deception).

Barrie also wrote Was Guy Fawkes just a victim of an earlier WMD scheme? in the Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail on Nov. 5, 2005. (Guy Fawkes Day happens to be Barrie’s birthday.) He is also currently writing a book on this topic.

Kevin Barrett is the author/editor of Truth Jihad My Epic Struggle against the 9/11 Big Lie, and 9/11 and American Empire: Christians, Jews and Muslims Speak Out. He is a founder of the Muslim, Jewish, Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth-(MUJCA.com) and also a radio host on We The People Radio Network.

He was enthusiastic about the idea of World Peace Week, which he jazzed up, brainstorming with Sherry Clark, the creative webmaster of War on War Week. Kevin thought that we should take greater advantage of the film V is for Vendetta which exposes state terrorism and encourages people to not allow their governments to terrorize them and destroy their rights and freedoms. A fun, fireworks-filled, participatory holiday would win over greater support than a quiet, peaceful anniversary observation, in his opinion.

John Leonard came up with the idea for a World Peace Week from November 5th through November 11th:

It would start on November 5th -- Guy Fawkes Day, the holiday that celebrates the granddaddy of all fake war provocations (the 400th anniversary was in 2005) – and last through November 11th --Veterans Day, which commemorates the end of WWI on 11/11/1917 and the veterans and victims of this and all other wars started by false pretexts.

To end these wars, we have to awaken people to both the knowledge of how the war party incites war, and to sympathy for the fallen. These dates in November are a perfect time to remember both culprits and victims.

This International Peace Week is a spontaneous networking of activists, authors and media. It provides a focus for arranging interviews and call-ins to talk radio, letters to the editor, articles and chats online, and your own local conferences, meetings, and demonstrations.

John is also the publisher of the first 9/11 Truth book, The War on Freedom by Nafeez Ahmed, as well as Kevin Barrett's Truth Jihad and Webster Tarpley's Synthetic Terror- Made in USA. When Nafeez Ahmed had to cancel his first speaking trip to the U.S. in the summer of 2002 when his book came out, John Leonard traveled to the Bay Area to speak in his place. He helped sponsor the first issues of the Deception Dollar and has distributed them over the years. He is both a publisher and an activist.

Sherry Clark is an activist, carrying on her work in the extremely red state of Ohio. She herself was once a Bush supporter who honestly believed she had voted for the moral candidate...twice. In the summer of 2006 she read the book, Crimes Against Nature by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. That is when she fist learned of Bush's disregard for the environment. From there she explored other news sources outside of her local printing company, the Columbus Dispatch, and learned that the situation was even worse than Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had described. She stumbled upon the documentary Loose Change shortly thereafter, and her life changed from socialite to political activist practically overnight.

She is launching a newspaper called The Liberty Voice to educate her fellow Ohioans. She agrees with Abraham Lincoln that

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts."
Sherry believes that the Midwestern people are the salt of the earth. The phrase "salt of the earth" is inspired from the nature of salt itself as both an irritant and a healer. In the case of 9-11 truth, she believes the salt of the earth will have the power to heal the nation, first by causing irritation to others through telling the truth about that day and then by transforming that wound into healing.

In addition to publishing The Liberty Voice, she has launched the website War on War Week ( www.waronwar.us/) and spearheaded the group Columbus 9/11 Truth (www.columbus911truth.org/. ). She is involved with her local World Can't Wait group and has helped create their local website at www.columbuswcw.org. She lives in Liberty Township, Ohio, with her two young daughters.

We all believe that it is very important to expose state-sponsored terrorism. Celebrating the week of November 5th- November 11th provides an annual opportunity to educate the public about the history of state-sponsored terrorism, whether we choose to emphasize peace or to dramatically challenge war.

By exposing the common pattern through which state-sponsored terrorism has been used to launch imperial wars and crack down on dissent, we hope to bust the "war game" once and for all.

PS- This was a very lively show and guests and callers made some excellent points. Here are notes from John Leonard on the subject of the V for Vendetta film:

Main Points - Guy fawkes myth - blowback myth - vengeance, vendetta
Single terrorist or lone gunman myth
Cult aspects of movie - to appeal to a subset of the culture - the radical chic elements in it are not new and will not reach the people who need to be radicalized
We tend to think that if we like a movie, it will also be a big hit and be understood in the same way countrywide and it just isn't necessarily so

V quotes Newton, action and reaction - this confirms blowback myth which is the cycle of vengeance, the key tool of divide and conquer, the alibi behind false flag terror, because you can motivate people to strike back and you get your war. Of course the title Vendetta means a feud.

at the beginning you have the heroine Evey saying do you think blowing up a building would do any good? and at the end she is converted to violence.

Validating and Popularizing the false flag Guy Fawkes for America, with Guy as idealist hero, when he was a patsy, an Oswald, a loose cannon and soldier of fortune who got caught in the machine.

Lesbian heroine - this is a way of targeting it to the liberal audience that already knows the materials like Orwell, fascism and religious extremism, and keeping it away from the people we need to reach

Illusion that one person could heroically create all these terrorist effects - after Webster Tarpley has enunciated the axiom that only state actors are capable of spectacular terror -

The movie will have different messages for different people. Blowback is one of the top messages they love to use to corrupt the liberal left and split them off from the mainstream.
Of course the man in the street isn't going to sympathize with Arab hijackers because of some sympathetic sociological blowback theory -- he is going to want to strike back. That's why LIHOP was useless.

Don't underestimate how sophisticated Hollywood is as part of the corporate media, who are our sworn enemies. When the Warner logo comes up on the screen, well, be warned!

So that's the problem with the fantasy of violent revolt in V for Vendetta. We have to keep plugging away at getting the word out until the regime falls, the way the Soviet Union collapsed, when the people in it just can't keep living the lie. The fact that they want to provoke violence is proof that this is not the tool for us here and now.

The word is more powerful than V's swords, and we do have a fighting chance. The other day I came across a Financial Times poll that said 35 per cent of US 16- to 24-year-olds identifying their own country as the main threat to world peace!
    clipmarks.com/clipmark/E997ABBD-DC7E-41EA-AFC5-106FC21509C6
And for the most part this is even without knowing about false flag terror!

(in an earlier poll Israel was seen as the biggest threat, by all age groups, but it was not on the list in this poll)

To the Brian Goods out there - Yes we definitely should respond, use, capitalize on the appeal of the V phenomenon and use it to reach people
But we also need to give them the real story.

Kevin Barrett added:

My bottom line on V for Vendetta:

    1) It's the best available tool for bringing new people to a discussion of false flag terror and fascism, because it's entertaining and interesting. Lots of people can consider these ideas as fiction but won't go there, at least at first, in non-fiction. Thus V screenings and discussions are an ideal way to introduce these ideas to a wider audience. We should focus our War on War efforts on getting these V house parties going!

    2) At the deepest level, the film is about overcoming fear. That resonates with the 9/11 truth movement, whose prime task is overcoming the fear that was engineered on 9/11, both in ourselves and in the general population. The film suggests that a certain kind of pure, prophetic, righteous anger is a powerful antidote to fear. V's transformation into a superhero in the camp symbolizes his overcoming fear and passivity by allowing himself to feel the anger that is the natural response to oppression--and to begin acting from that anger in a pure and powerful way. And Evie, of course, is the heart of the movie, moving from fearful potential rape victim to a genuine human being, i.e. one who has overcome fear of death. (Nobody who fears death has yet achieved full humanity--which is why genuine humans are so rare!)

I think many 9/11 truth people remain passive because they are paralyzed by fear, much of which is fear of the destructive potential of their own repressed anger. So they continue to repress 99% of their anger, which makes them miserable, low-energy, depressed, and prone to cancer and heart disease..while they let off steam with the other 1% by sniping at fellow 9/11 activists, especially those who don't suffer from the same debilitating syndrome. I think we need to FEEL our righteous anger, let it lift us beyond fear, to the point V and Evie reach where they no longer fear death, imprisonment, torture, or anything else, and channel that prophetic anger into an all-out battle for truth and for the utter destruction of a fascist regime based on lies. I suspect that those who are afraid of this movie, and afraid of using it as a tool for activism, are clinging to their fear "like a beggar clinging to his lice" as Baudelaire wrote.

Another question is which tactics to use in the all-out battle for truth. I'm reading William Vollman's brilliant Rising Up, Rising Down which covers this territory well. The kind of stupid violence that agents provocateurs incite should of course be avoided. But that obviously is not our main problem -- our main problem is cowardice, paralysis, inaction, depression, anger-turned-inward, intra-movement sniping, passivity, envy of anyone who accomplishes anything, etc. We need to turn that anger outward and use it intelligently if we are to take down the neocon neonazi regime and save the planet.

Barrie Zwicker wrote:

As for my own contribution last evening, I'm not sure how much a listener
would have gotten through me that was clear and useful.

As I work on my book (in fits and starts) I keep repeatedly come to the
realization of how much I have to learn about false flag ops, even though I
    know more than most people.

I look forward to listening to the second hour of last night's program
a.s.a.p., especially for the back 'n' forth on V for Vendetta. I've seen
that movie three times; our Toronto core group has had fascinating
discussions about it: the range of views is very wide.

As I mentioned to caller Solomon (he did seem wise!) I'm not going to accept
any more gigs (except, I guess, invitations from mainstream media to go on
air about 9/11 and/or the so-called "war on terror") for the duration.
    I don't know how others do it, but I find I can't finish a book unless I
    withdraw from activism.

It would be great if my book could be published in time for World Peace Week
/ War on War Week 2008. We'll see.

Peace, good wishes, joy, strength, courage and love to all.
    BarrieZ

My thanks to guests, callers, listeners, and activists who recognize the importance of truth, courage, and how love of life is the most powerful force os all.

V for Vendetta is fatally flawed by a scene where V carves up two cops with a sword in loving slow motion. Drape it with all the gaudy academic frippery you want-- call it metaphor, cathartic, claim it's on multiple levels you won't define, call it dreamscape, a channel for the release of healing righteous anger--and it's still obscenity that degrades all who tolerate it, and it's still about killing cops. A lot of people who see this movie aren't capable of swathing it in philosophist abstraction--to them it will always be about killing cops, and loving every millisecond of it.

Violence is not cleansing. It's destructive and seductive and addictive. Start out praising the aestheticization of unreal mythic violence, and within minutes you're extolling threats of violence as an agent of change in South Africa, and declaring that political power grows from the barrel of a gun.

Violence is dumb when they have electronic brain scramblers and all we have is guns. It's dumb when it's not necessary. Show a little imagination and see between fearful passivity and rabies a third way that harms no living thing--non-cooperation with, and obstruction and sabotage of, economic entities and processes. George Bush didn't need to invade Iraq. He could have brought Saddam to his knees by bombing power lines, bridges, railroads, and pipelines. The V mask means assassination and cop-killing, and the notion that we're going to bring the cops over to our side by marching around in mobs of forty people dressed in cop-killer costumes is ludicrous.

We saw all this before in the sixties. It didn't go anywhere worth going. If we're doing the right thing, obstruction and sabotage will make the change without masks, and nobody hurt.

A great man invoked an old saying to make a point about guns: When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

terrorvictim, are you saying that all
people should fight terrorism by
cooperating with the government, or
are you saying that all people should
fight terrorism that is done by the
government?
